
Mrs. Black teaches the Medical Detectives elective. In order to better understand the importance of Vital Signs and how Medical Detectives use this data to solve their cases students completed vital sign stations which included collecting and analyzing data for Pulse, Temperature, Respiratory Rate, and Blood Pressure.




Mrs. Dalrymple's students completed a goldfish activity estimating the population of the fish in the pond from a sampling with some fish that were tagged. The real life simulation also included learning about the mean and outliers.

7th grade math students are learning about estimating populations, sample size, mean values and how to identify outliers.




Students in the robotics elective are starting the year learning about simple machines. Today teams are building and testing inclined planes.





EMS practices have made adjustments today due to the heat. Cross country ran extra early this morning and softball did indoor practice.


Attention parents, please help us remind students that applications for EMS Student Council are due Friday , August 30th. All applicaitons need to be given to Mrs. Braden or Mrs. Turner.

Mrs. Wilson is preparing for students to start checking out library books next week! You might be surprised to know our library has about 10,000 books. If your child is not bringing home a library book every week or you have questions please email Mrs. Julie Wilson directly. Students check out books for 2 weeks at a time but can return them weekly if they choose.
P.S. Kindergarten students will not be checking out for just a bit longer.

Meet Tyler Juergens, our new BRAVES teacher. Mr. Juergens is a recent Truman State graduate who is joining us for his first year of teaching. Please help us welcome him to our school community.


Please help us welcome Maegan Hamrick to our 6th grade team at EMS. This is Mrs. Hamrick's 16th year of teaching. Fun fact, she has traveled to 10 countries. She is also a HUGE St. Louis Cardinals fan. We are so excited to have her on our staff.


The Missouri Retired Teacher Foundation presented Melissa Grossner with a $500 grant to support her classroom. What a wonderful way to start the 2024-2025 school year!
