A little update for the baseball game today.
We are going to try to do everything we can to play the game today. We are watching the radar. Right now the field is covered. The plan is to untarp the field at the earliest 5:00 p.m. and the latest 6:00 p.m. We will not start the game after 7:00 p.m. There will only be a Varsity game tonight.
Penny Lorenz Anderson and Nick Schneider will be joining us through Think First on April 23rd at 10am. Penny has a spinal cord injury and Nick has a traumatic brain injury plus an amputated leg due to a car crash. Penny’s friend was driving recklessly and Nick was hit by a distracted driver while on a moped. During the presentation they will discuss brain and spinal cord injuries, how to keep yourself safe, and inform students that this age group is the most at risk.
Not exactly great golf conditions today, but that didn't slow the team down!
EHS Track update:
The high school track team will not be going to Wright City today. Also the meet for 4/18 in Louisiana has already been cancelled due to forecasted weather. The Louisiana meet will now be on 4/23.

At the Wright City Large Ensemble Festival the EMS 8th Grade band earned a rating of 2- "Outstanding" and the EHS Band earned a 1 rating- "Exemplary"
Mark your calendars! EMS and EHS Spring Concert is Thursday, May 9.
Prom is April 27th.

Time: Doors open at 6:00 p.m.-Prom is over at 10:00 p.m.
Grand March begins around 6:20 p.m.
Tickets cost $20 and will be available to purchase before/after school and during HS lunch. Out of district guests must have a guest form from the high school office and have that signed and returned.

The EHS Golf team has been busy!
Last Tuesday was the first win of the season on a cold and windy day against Wright City, Clopton and Montgomery. Rex Mauzy had the overall match low score of 39.
Last Friday we came in 2nd! Low scorer was Rex Mauzy with a 44.
Yesterday was a tough loss against Winfield. Winfield 186- Elsberry 200. Rex Mauzy tied the low match scorer with a 41 and Jack Kinsler had a score of 50.
The baseball game for today, April 8 is cancelled.
