Marking your calendar and checking it twice!

Fourth grade teacher Joy Yates invited her students to dress like her since today our evaluate theme was joy. Look at all of the little "Joys"!

Last week we were honored to present yet another tremendous holiday program. Mrs. Jenny Lynn Heras leads the kindergarten through third grade classes as well as the Treblemakers Honor Choir. Treblemakers is an honor choir composed of students in fourth through sixth grade. If you see her out in the community, please let her know how blessed our school is to have her talent.
If you need some extra Christmas spirit you can watch it on YouTube.
Thank you Mrs. Reller for creating the live stream of the concert that is posted at the link below. There are also more photos on Facebook. Enjoy!

Mrs. Jessica Marshall is in her 21st year at the district. You can find her teaching first graders during the day and some afternoons she is teaching at the Explorer's Club afterschool program. If it is summer, you will most likely find her at the baseball field.

Don’t forget the book fair is a great place to Christmas shop. Open daily before and after school November 29- December 2. Also open after the Christmas Program on Thursday.

Mrs. Kaimann's kindergarten students learned all about the Macy's Day Parade using the book Balloons Over Broadway. After reading the book they decorated their own balloons.

The elementary will once again be ordering gift cards as a fundraiser this holiday season. If you are new to this program, it couldn't be simpler. You order gift cards through us and we receive a percentage of the order as a kickback. It's really a win-win situation! Less shopping for you and fundraising dollars for us. Hard copies are also available in the elementary office. Orders and payment are due by December 13 for delivery before Christmas break.

Mark your calendars for picture retakes and senior portraits. Ordering information will be posted at a later date.

Mrs. Keeven's class did a service learning project on Evaluate Day. They made dog toys out of old t-shirts. Her class is donating the finished projects to PALS Animal shelter.

World Prematurity Hat Day on Thursday, November 17. Bring $1 and your favorite hat to participate. All money collected will go to a family who has a premature baby in the NICU during the holidays.

Mrs. Kelsi Conner has been teaching first grade at CCE for 13 years. She hopes students remember her goal was not just to teach them reading and math, but to teach them to be good humans.

It's cold outside! Our goal is to get children outside daily as long as the temperature is safe. However, students do need a winter coat. If your family needs assistance with a winter coat please email Ms. Shipley, elementary secretary kshipley@elsberry.k12.mo.us or call ext. 215.

Please help support the CCE 3rd Grade Food Drive. All food collected will be used for Elsberry Buddy Bags. The food drive begins on November 15 and ends on December 16.

Lunch Menus for November 14-22

We are looking forward to our Veterans Day Celebration on Friday. Just a reminder, all Veterans should enter at the elementary doors between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m.

November 8 is National PAT Day! Help us celebrate our parent educators, Dawn Stone and Deana Zimmermann. Feel free to drop your favorite Elsberry PAT photos in the comments.
The national Parents as Teachers model program builds strong communities, thriving families, and children who are healthy, safe and ready to learn by matching parents and caregivers with trained professionals, known as Parent Educators. Parent Educators make regular personal home visits during a child’s earliest years in life, from prenatal through kindergarten.
