All of our students start their day with community circle. This is part of our Ruler program. Community circle gives all students and teachers a chance to build rapport and relationships. What is your child's favorite part of community circle?

Students in Mrs. Keeven's 4th grade class did some yarn crafts between taking the Math and ELA Evaluate tests. Her students flexed their academic and creative brain power on Evaluate Day.

The students in Mrs. Morrissey's preschool love hunting for bugs. This week they have found crickets, ants and a house centipede!

Mrs. Osterkamp's third grade students practiced working with partners during math time. The students were rounding and practicing place value today.




Let's go on an Adventure! Evaluate Day is Friday, September 9. Students in grades 2-4 will all take the Evaluate in the subjects of reading and math. All students at Cannon Elementary are invited to participate in the dress up day. Students are encourage to wear orange and green as well as their favorite hiking gear.


We are practicing using kind words and treating others how they wanted to be treated. We made a bulletin board with kind words for people to grab when they’re having a rough time.

We are excited to introduce our new elementary counselor, Miss Katelynn Hammett. She has already visited every elementary classroom as part of our weekly counseling schedule.


We welcomed our kindergarten students and their families tonight to meet their permanent teacher, following our seven day flexible placement. Students rotate through all our kindergarten classrooms while we get to know them, assess each child in a variety of areas and develop well-balanced classrooms. We are so excited for our new kindergarteners!

Mrs. Yates is teaching her fourth grade students to work together as a team. Students learned teamwork by building with Legos, straw toys, and playing cards.

Mrs. Kaimann and her kindergarten students made school busses for snack. We used Graham crackers, icing, mini oreos and pretzels. We practiced using a plastic knife and following step by step directions





Mrs. Keeven's 4th grade class created their own reading lanterns to go with our "Adventure Awaits" camping theme.

Second grade is ready for a magical year after a magical playdoh experiment!
