
One middle school elective that always gets students working outside of the classroom walls is photography. Students have been using the greenhouse as a location to apply their knowledge of ISO and Aperture.









Testing season is upon us. Here is a tip to help students be most successful.

Happy Administrative Professionals Day! We are so lucky to have all of you brightening up our offices and our days!


Our sixth grade students participated in a science lab to learn about seasons and planetary motion. They collaborated with a group to collect data and draw conclusions about their experiment.





The Missouri Assessment Program, most often called M.A.P. is a test given to all students in grades 3-8 in Missouri. English Language Arts and Mathematics are administered in all grades 3-8. Science is only administered in grades 5 and 8. Our regularly scheduled M.A.P. tests begin May 4 and end May 19.


It is always a great day when you can take learning outside!


Students in grades 4-6 had the opportunity to attend Truman's Children's Literature Festival on Friday, April 21 in Kirksville, MO. The event showcases writers and illustrators providing an opportunity to connect children with books and their authors. Mrs. Julie Wilson, elementary librarian, organized this field trip.

Middle School Track set many PRs Wednesday, April 19 at Winfield. Kiara Robbins placed 3rd in the 200m.


The middle school track meet has been canceled today, April 20, due to the forecasted weather. Tentative make up date is May 3rd.


Levi Jacyna is in his fourth year as a member of the EHS and EMS staff. When asked why he wanted to become a teacher he said the impact my high school coaches had on me led me to want to do the same for the future generations!

Students in 5th and 6th grade ALP are evaluating primary sources to develop and evaluate a theory about what really happened at the Lost Colony of Roanoke.

EMS students competed last week at Louisana. Many students set PRs (personal records) and multiple students placed. Outstanding!
Kiara Robbins got 5th in the 100m dash and 3rd in the 200m dash
The girls 4X200 team got 5th
Kaiden Ford got 3rd in High Jump, 5th in Triple Jump
Kaylor Moore got 5th in the 1600m run
The boys 4X800 team got 3rd place



Evaluate Day means Neon day in fifth grade. Students are busy today doing glow activities, MAP review, and Evaluate testing.
