Parents, we need your assistance. We have a pretty long list of overdue library books. Please remind your kiddo to search high and low for their precious library books. Ms. B., the night librarian, truly appreciates your efforts.

National School Bus Safety Week October 17-21, 2022 While the school bus is the safest way to travel to school, children still need to be careful asthey get on and off the bus. Obstructed views and distracted drivers put kids at risk, which is why it’s important that parents teach them about ways to stay safe.

MoDOT’s Buckle Up Phone Down campaign is tackling the two most impactful actions a driver can take to prevent crashes or survive if one occurs. Gov. Mike Parson has proclaimed Friday as Buckle Up Phone Down Day in Missouri in an effort to encourage Missourians to take two simple actions to save lives on the state’s highways – fasten their seat belts and put their phones down while driving.

Career week speakers visited Mrs. Head's art classes to discuss opportunities in the arts industry. Claire Hasemeier brought samples of her jewelry, spoke about art as a small business, and had the students try their hand at knotting techniques called macro-macrame. Georganna Krumlinde spoke about being a heritage artist and shared many art forms she creates. Students made a quilt square that Georganna will use to construct a quilt to donate to Shriners Hospital. Advanced art students enjoyed a live tattoo demonstration from Copper Fox studio owners Alexis Black and JD Brown while learning about the industry and art form.
