Mrs. Dormire's class finished their group projects entitled "Body Biographies" after reading Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Each group chose their favorite character and created a visual and written portrait illustrating several aspects of the characters like within the literary work. Each symbol was accompanied by a quote or passage from the play explaining what each symbol represents for that character. They took into account placement, body parts, virtues and vices, symbols, and any changes the characters may have gone through. Each group displays their "body" during a presentation.
"This is one of the most intensive projects my Freshmen complete. I love the collaboration, thoughtfulness, and artistic abilities that come out of this unit!" - Mrs. Dormire

School Principals' Day was officially May 1, but since we were not in session we are celebrating today. Mr. Mike Boedeker has been the EHS principal for seven years. Advice he gives all students is to be kind, work hard and give your best effort in anything you do. We are thankful to have Mr. Boedeker leading the students and staff at EHS.

End-of-Course assessments include: English I, English II, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, American History, Government, Biology, Physical Science and Personal Finance.

STATE CHAMPIONS! Huge congratulations to our Floriculture team for placing 1st at State and advancing on to Nationals in the fall. Lillie, Jacob, Thomas, and Destiny are excited about the opportunities in store for them this fall. The Nursery, Poultry, Soils, and Forestry teams also found success, and we were recognized as one of the top chapters in the state of Missouri through the National Chapter Award Application. Poultry was 20th, Soils was 15th, and Nursery was 12th!! Great job! This is an elite group of students and they were nothing less than stellar this season.

“The Rainbow Fish shared his scales left end right. And the more he gave away, the more delighted he became. When the water around him filled with glimmering scales, he at last felt at home among the other fish.”
